Leda heard music and came to investigate. She surveyed the scene, and did a double take at the current video.

What in the world is that lady wearing?

"Hey uh, mind if I change the channel? That lady's scaring me." The only other occupant of the room didn't seem to be paying much attention to the TV, so she was hopeful.

"I was under the impression that was the point of said video." Plus the music was simply deafening. Without rising her head, Hermione waved a hand. "By all means, I trust you can pick something better than me. I was going to do it myself anyway." She, instead, flipped a page and kept reading.

Leda had no problem with loud music herself. "Want me to look for something more conducive for reading?"

There were some surprisingly good shows on the History Channel, but those might be distracting. Maybe she could find that channel that had the yule log and played the Nutcracker.

"Be my guest", said as she looked up for the first time, taking in the girl's features. "Oh", said as she tried not to stare. "I'm not familiar with, hm, American television, so please, if you know of something with more informative value, go on." Zapping was just a waste of time to her.

Wesley wandered in, took a look at the screen and then at the girl reading a book, and quirked an eyebrow. "I -- sincerely hope you're watching this for the ironic contrast."

Because a girl who looked smart enough - well, she was reading a history book, so it seemed like a solid guess - to be watching this? Did not compute.

"I am not." A beat, and then she looked up. Heeeeeey, England!

"Not watching it, I mean. I just...left it there. It's starting to become hard to ignore though. If I knew my way around this many useless channels, I would have found Discovery Channel already."

"Perhaps I might give it a try?" Wesley suggested, amused. "I'm quite the fan of Discovery Channel myself, in fact. I believe tonight there was supposed to be a special on owls, if you're interested."

He picked up the remote and started flicking through channels. He'd find it eventually. Maybe.

Owls, you said? Consider her interested. "Well, I am now. Owls...always are a topic of conversation where I come from." She knew about them, but no more than the average Hogwarts resident; that had to be corrected.
