I took Caelan to see TMNT today. It was awesome. I never read the comics as a child, but I'd seen the various animated incarnations as well as the live action version from 1990. Jennifer and I just finished watching Ultraviolet and I am compelled to post about what a piece of crap it was. Yeah yeah, great fight scenes and you can bounce a quarter off Milla Jovovich's ass, but what was the fucking point? There wasn't an ounce of drama or suspense in the whole thing. I wasn't quite sure where they were going with Torchwood but the last two minutes made the entire season worthwhile. I'm not saying any more until I know if Jamie has seen it yet.
It never occurred to me that "Torchwood" is an anagram of "Doctor Who". Duh. -

A nice way to end the year.
Some time ago one of my two remaining Bradford Pears blew apart and landed on my shed. I needed to get the tree off the shed before my insurance company would pay me to fix it, and I wasn't going to pay someone to cut it down.
