Holtzman grinned. “You saved my life. You coulda dropped me when [[villain]] was in Megan… and you didn’t. You risked your life.”
“The window thing?” Patty shrugged nonchalantly.
“Just wanted to say… thanks.” Holtz cleared her throat and let out a breath of relief. “Okay. Enough feelings now.”
“Brace yourself, Holtzy.”
Holtz looked around suspiciously.
Patty took Holtz’s hands in her own and Holtz tilted her head in confusion. “There are two things scarier than death: you… and losing you.”
