follow the yellow brick road

well, there's been something of a dust-up in the femslash-verse over the past few days! as the dust settles, I'm pleased to announce that femslash100 has joined the girlwank family of communities -- a hub for femslash fandom on livejournal:

- girlwank (femslash discussion) NEW!!!
- femslash_today (multifandom femslash newsletter)
- girlsonscreen (femslash focused tv)
- getyourtoaster (BSG mini femslash ficathons)
- madeofgay (the control center of it all)

nothing changes here at the comm, we just get, you know, a bigger office with a shiny plaque on the desk.

I do have some questions about comm business, though. alphabet soup is currently set to expire on October 24. I was always planning to launch a second round of the challenge at that point, with new words. however, the first round remains popular, and most participants aren't close to finishing. so I'm having second thoughts about cutting you all off. here are some options:

Poll the future of alphabet soup

let me know what you think, and also let me know if you have any ideas for different larger-scale challenges. drabble tag, anyone?

secondly, given the increased attention to crossovers lately, and the inauguration of crossover_news, I'm regretting not having archived crossover drabbles here as such (they're just filed twice, under both fandoms). I'm having the mad impulse to go through ALL comm posts to tag crossovers (it would be more orthodox to archive them in memories, but tagging is easier). but I don't actually have time to do this. I don't suppose there's some equally insane, OCD person out there who'd like to volunteer? it should be pretty quick to scan the fandom header for crossovers.
