new challenge: alphabet soup
I'm a totalitarian at heart, and I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying ruling over this comm. in this vein, I'm unilaterally instituting a NEW CHALLENGE which will run parallel to and independent of the weekly challenges. it's called alphabet soup, and it's shamelessly gakked from inspired by alphabetasoup (which has a 500 word minimum) [and now there's also alphabetdrabble]. I cooked this up because I wanted to do it myself, but then I looked at the mountain of homework on my desk and thought better of it. I just KNOW many of you are more dedicated than I -- have at it. and please pimp this!

rules ~
• to complete the challenge, you must write 26 drabbles, one for each word prompt. if you finish, you get a cookie!
• entries must adhere to the community standards (see userinfo): femslash, with a maximum of 250 words (or a series of up 5 drabbles that fit these criteria).
• the prompts are not about using the word in a sentence or following the dictionary definition -- you should try to capture what the word evokes for you.
• you may post your responses at any time and in any order.
• the challenge will run for one year, starting from today. you can sign up at any point. if you haven't completed it by 10/23/06 December 31, 2006 (extended) and you want to continue, you must post further drabbles in your own journal and/or as comments to this entry.
• each participant should claim a single unique subject to write for this challenge. this can be a pairing, a character, a fandom (if it's small -- you can't have, say, all of HP to yourself), a genre, etc. original fic is allowed for alphabet soup only.
• your entries will be indexed below in alphabetical order, unless you ask otherwise
