I thought it was pretty clear from months ago that Clinton wasn't going to be the VP choice. And I don't think people grumbling about it on the Internet represent that large a section of the population. After all, Ron Paul was the almost- official Internet-supported candidate.

Please remember the women in the South, too. Our access to abortion is pretty bad, now. I know of someone who had to drive a ten-hour round-trip, TWICE, to get a medical abortion. It will be even worse for us down here if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

Thank goodness she had a car of her own and enough money for gas, as well as the procedure...lots of women don't.

I'm not sure how this relates to feminism. It's not as if Hillary isn't being chosen out of sexism. (If you or someone else thought that, then it'd be on topic, but that doesn't seem to be what this post is about at all.)

Or are you saying that all feminists are liberals, ergo any liberal politics relates to feminism? I'm confused.

The post never mentions abortion. What's more, it asks that we "band together as a party" when it's pretty presumptuous to assume that all feminists share the same political philosophy.

1. I say "reproductive rights" quite explicitly in the last paragraph of my post. Do you not consider abortion a "reproductive right"?

2. I say before the cut that this is a feminist appeal to "former Clinton supporters." I'm addressing a specific group of feminists, those who identify as former Clinton supporters. I am not assuming all feminists are Democrats. And that is why I put the post behind a cut and labeled it US-centric.

Yes, we really need to do something about the Senate too. Do you have any idea what the numbers were like when Bush was trying to get Roberts (and the unsuccessful woman whose name I've forgotten) through? I know it was somewhat difficult for him then, but he still managed it.
