Yesterday, I found out that a friend had died. It's a German guy who I know through the judge programme; I've worked with him on a number of events, including room sharing with him when I went to the week in Frankfurt, and he was one of the judges who gave me quite a bit of a push to go for level 2 (and support when I messed it up the first time). I want this grant so badly. I want to move to Paris and be able to try this relationship in a not-long-distance cross-country fashion. There are other grants, but everything else takes so much longer and leaves me in limbo that much longer. So following my last post ranting about my daily commute - I've found a flat in Ascot on a short term let. My own place, £600 a month all inclusive without the inclusion of a letting agency. I make a 65 mile round trip every day to get to and from work. I drive, as the only person in my car. On a good day, one-way takes me 50 minutes. More normally, it takes me 60 to 90 minutes.
