Title: Chibi Invasion

Summary: Somehow, the chibis manage to re-enact part of the movie.
Notes/Warnings: Written for The Summer Chibi!verse Challenge at whooligan. Complete unbetaed crack. No spoilers because I haven't seen a single episode of Doctor Who, just loads of lovely Tenth Doctor fanart. I freely admit that it was simply a way to include chibiEight (he's my favourite).
Chibi Invasion
"Doctor...?" The shaky tone of Rose Taylor's voice brought the Time Lord out from under the central console of the TARDIS, frowning deeply. Reaching back into the open grating, he gently retrieved Rose's chibi counterpart before he put the grating back in place. The chibi gave an indignant meep at being taking from her work, but she was quickly soothed when the Doctor tucked her into the breast pocket of his coat, especially when she realized she could wind his loosened tie around her like a shawl without the risk of choking him in the process, which she did with a satisfied meep.
Amused by chibiRose's antics, the Doctor still followed Rose's voice to where she peered into a largely-empty room. On the floor, two chibis--one male, one female--on a police motorcycle from late 20th century America were being chased by an ambulance from the same time period. The motorcycle ran out of gas and the chibis hopped off, the male chibi standing protectively in front of the female chibi as a male chibi dressed in an EMT's uniform and wearing a pair of dark glasses climbed out of the back of the ambulance and approached the other two with an admittedly evil smirk.
When an Asian-looking chibi that looked markedly younger than the other three climbed out from behind the wheel of the ambulance, the Doctor knew exactly what was going on. "I really don't need to see this again." Stepping forward, he scooped up the male and female chibis, who squeaked in surprise and grabbed onto his hands. The chibi in dark glasses gave an outraged meep and shook his tiny fist at the Doctor. The full-sized Time Lord bared his teeth at the chibi, who looked startled and stepped backward, right into the fourth chibi, causing both to fall into a heap and sending the dark glasses across the floor, revealing that their previous owner's bright green eyes with snake-like pupils.
Rose gave a screech of surprise that brought the chibiDoctor scurrying in, squeaking and meeping worriedly. He stopped short when he saw the two chibis on the floor and glanced up at his counterpart inquiringly. It was the male chibi in the Doctor's hand who replied, squeaking and meeping rapidly, the female nodding her head and offering an occasional meep or squeak. The chibiDoctor gave a nod and moved over to where the other two chibis were now standing, the younger one looking confused and glancing at the chibis and people around him. Facing the older chibi, the chibiDoctor pulled back and punched the other chibi, knocking him out with a single punch. "That's not very nice!"
"That is the Master, Rose," the Doctor explained as he set the chibis he was holding on the floor as well as chibiRose. Together, the five conscious chibis tied up the chibiMaster tightly. "At least, the version one of my predecessors faced on New Year's Eve, 1999."
She stared as the three male chibis picked up their captive and carried him out of the room. "What do you mean?"
He sighed, sitting down on the floor. "I was supposed to transport the remains of the Master to Gallifrey after he'd been executed at the end of his last life. Being the Master, he found a way around the limit of 13 lives and managed to sabotage the TARDIS." He patted the wall when there was a shudder around them. "I had to bring her in for an emergency landing, ending up in San Francisco on the eve of the year 2000. Unfortunately, we landed in the middle of a gang battle and I was shot." Rose gasped at that and he patted her leg reassuringly.
By now, the two female chibis had joined them and had found their way into the pockets of his coat. Almost absently, he offered each a jelly baby. ChibiRose accepted one with a squeak of thanks and nodded encouragingly when the other chibi hesitated. At that, the other chibi accepted the jelly baby. As he told Rose the story of what happened when he regenerated for the eighth time, the three male chibis returned to listen as well. His counterpart was scooped up and tucked into Rose's shirt, as usual. ChibiChang didn't snuggle up against either the Doctor or Rose, content to sit down nearby as he listened. ChibiEight joined ChibiGrace, who kissed his cheek before offering to share the jelly baby with him.
Rose was quiet after he'd finished telling the story, absently stroking a finger over the ChibiDoctor's hair. Softly, she commented, "Wow. That was actually a good story."
The Doctor's offended "Oi!" was accompanied by an equally offended squeak from his chibi counterpart. Giggling, Rose got to her feet and dashed out of the room, leaving the Doctor to get up and chase after her, intent on defending his story-telling honour, leaving behind three bewildered chibis, one squeaking with laughter herself, and one sulking in the corner.

A/N2: I don't know if the Tenth Doctor's stories are boring, but I like the idea anyway.
