[Have Dracula's deadly-serious-you-better-fuckin'-listen-kids look.]
It is been brought to Drake's and my attention that the ice, frost and meltwater currently cluttering up certain common areas and the Deck are in fact dangerous in some way to mortals. Do not touch them. If you have ( Read more... )

really not amused, protective dracula sighting, the only authority i trust is my own, dogged attempts at...something, here have some wtf, signs of change, gadflying the wardens, unvarnished opinions, raised eyebrow of doom

I find it endlessly amusing that I of all beings am giving public service announcements. But Drake is keeper of my semi-existent conscience in this matter. And the Death Toll is so very annoying to go through.

I don't doubt it.

Is it safe to assume, Madame, that you are too practical to go poking about strangely-provenanced ice anyway?

Well, that's lovely.

Which common areas are affected?

Fifth floor common room and the deck are hit worst from what I have been able to tell. [If he knew about the dining hall he'd be all over that detail, but he doesn't.]

Thanks for filling us in. I don't think many people would expect to die of puddles.

Drake provided the information, I am merely disseminating it. But...well. The Infirmary is depressingly full as it is.

[Useless Comment] Cagey bastard needs to actually respond to things every once in a while. majorum_pride August 16 2011, 05:09:42 UTC
[Rhade would say that they probably didn't tell them because there is more than one inmate that would appreciate a bio-weapon like that and they want to clean it up first.

And he would have been tempted to contain a piece himself if he'd known.

But nah. He has a few warden friends. Might as well not make their lives any harder on them. He does wish that he'd managed to get his hands on one of those pieces of ice, though.]

Maybe they've had their hands full containing the actual threat.

In the time it took for Kay to warn one person he could have warned us all. It took little effort for me to put out this little message, and almost no time. And supposedly the Wardens value mortal life more than I do. I do not see it as an excuse.

You're overestimating the wardens. They don't have some grand scheme to torture and infuriate us all. They're not organized enough.

[Basically, Heero thinks anyone who agrees with you is an idiot. >.>]

Phff. Ha! That is what you think I believe? How amusing!

No, I believe that this is the result of disorganization and apathy on the part of the Wardens. They claim to be here "for our good", but then things like this happen, and prove the lie in their words.

[His interest is definitely provoked by this.]

In what way is it dangerous?

darknessb4me August 16 2011, 06:36:17 UTC
It's not. Frost-fever has an extremely short half-life. If the ice is even close to melting it's already died.

[An eyebrow lifts.]

Ahh, I see. Why all the fuss, then?
