So, somehow I ended up rewatching clips of Van Helsing and it got my thinking.

Heh. Very true. My melodramatic, Breaking-Benjamin-fan side wants to call it "Dance with the Devil." :P

And don't forget the Chuck example, which was...when I fell in love with that show's conception of gender roles. Chuck: "Apparently I learned the girl's part of this dance. Would you mind leading?" The female antagonist [no hesitation] "Not at all." And they work it.

Well, I would say the song is certainly a good example of this ... XD Love the song too but it sounds a bit more limiting since the dance isn't always with the villain/devil, just sometimes with someone you disagree with?

Oooooh. I have not seen that bit and now I really want to.

True, but it's such a lovely title...:P

Really? You haven't seen it? The tango parts are all up on youtube. From the Chuck/Awesome dance (which is so beyond fabulous, but I do get disturbed by Ellie's reaction...girl, that's your BROTHER, don't look so titillated. It's all part of my theory that everyone in the Chuck 'verse wants to get in Chuck's pants. EVERYONE) to the great Chuck and villain dance, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_QeAsZ84n0.

It really is but...

I've watched really scattered Chuck. I don't know, I think Ellie's reaction would be more watching her boyfriend/fiancee but that was... interesting.

Heeeeeh. Okay, that was pretty amazing. When I learned the Tango I actually learned all the lead's steps. I like being a lead in Tango, I really do. >.>
