I haven't looked very much, but I don't think there's a way. I stopped wearing shorts years ago and my thighs keep getting bigger and bigger, not to mention my stomach. So I am forced to wear leggings under skirts or just wear long capris in the summer. It does suck. :(

How about skorts or scooters? I know the look isn't the same but some of them are pretty short these days - particularly the ones meant for sports or are "sports inspired."

I avoided shorts like the plague for years and years for this very reason. Then last year, I found some pretty awesome Bermuda shorts at Avenue, and I wore them all summer. I bought a pair in three different colors, I love them so much. They're knee-length, with about a 15" inseam, but they're very light and have some stretch to them, and they stay very comfortable.

These appear to be similar to my shorts, except mine have a little mini-pocket on the left thigh, as well as a drawstring waistline.

Those are pretty cute! I actually have a denim pair that are pretty similar. The only thing is that if my knees can't breathe, I feel like a billion times hotter. I don't know WHY that is, but gosh dangit. Most longer shorts/cropped pants hit me at an odd place on my leg, too. I'm 5'5"ish and most of my height is in my torso.

I live in Georgia, and I just deal with either pulling down the shorts or wearing Bermudas. You gotta pick your battles. :)

well for ones you wear under skirts, some brands have a special thing at the bottom that keeps it in place. you could always try double sided tape if you are desperate. but without going to longer lengths, like walking shorts, on your body type it seems like roll up may just happen.

Do you have any examples of those kinds of shorts? The ones with the special "thing" at the bottom? I'm curious.

i dont shop online, but i have several pair, from regular stores, zellers, whatever. get them with other shape wear, they have like a plastic thing that grips and is almost sticky around the leg cuff. they are pretty common here. (canada)

It'll be a silicon strip. I have a bunch of things with them and they really do help keep the edges from rolling up/down.
