OOTD and lots of reviews: Target, belt from Etsy's Iamerica, eBay corset, Lolita-esque skirts...

So I’ve been doing a healthy amount of shopping lately (my justification: the economy needs my help). I went out for martinis last night and decided to play dress up and play around with some new stuff. Plus when I’m mulling an article of clothing I do like to see it on a non-model body, so maybe I can help some of you decide.

lots of photographic evidence of my recent shopping sprees; corset might be considered NSFW )

dresses, ootd, target, ebay, online shopping, reviews, successful shopping trips, raves

I LOVE the Alice skirt! I can't wait until they get back online. Although it says that they only do up to XXL, I'm hoping maybe they will do custom orders again when they re-open. I love everything you got, I also covet your wardrobe.

Thanks!

I got the impression that size isn't so much of an issue -- they seem willing to work with their customers. If you look in the galleries portion of their website you'll see quite a few larger items (as well as some hot fashion messes, in my humble opinion. Like, wow). Maybe the format will be different when they reopen, though.

Wow, you look wonderful.

And I wear size 12 (well, 11.5, heh), too. I used to be so embarrassed to admit that (which is pointless--I can't change my feet; they are what they are), but now that I see other stylish women with big feet wearing hot shoes, I am OK with it for the most part.

I'll be the first to admit that having size 12 feet sucks, but I've had big feet from pretty much birth and would have big feet even if I weighed a hundred pounds less, so I'm as close to at peace with it as I will ever get. My family jokes that I was meant to be a lot taller -- even at 5'10" I am by far the shortest person in my family going back to my grandparents' generation, and I have HUGE feet and hands.

The problem is finding the damn shoes. I shed many a tear over that as a teenager, then said fuck it and wore combat boots. But more and more people are making big shoes now -- a friend just sent me a Saks link with size 12 Louboutins! Not that I could walk in them, but it's nice to know they're out there.

Having checked some UK-US sizing charts, I wear a US size 12 too, and am an utter failure at finding decent shoes. I'm 6', too, so it's awesome seeing some similarly tall/large-footed people on this community!

I love every single thing you're wearing in this post! Particularly the Alice in Wonderland skirt; I've spent the last week lusting after a pink/black poodle skirt in a similar style...

Pretty!

Your dress from IGIGI - is it the green flowery dress with the shrug? Cause I bought it and it's STUNNING on me. And I don't think ANYTHING looks stunning on me. :)

Nope; the one I have coming is the short-sleeved wrap dress -- this one:

Is this the one you're talking about?:

I thought that one looked beautiful, too, but that I'd get more use out of the solid one. Any pictures of you in your stunning dress?

Yeah, I got the second one to wear at my son's baptism and probably at my rehearsal dinner in October. :) I'm waiting for my future sister in law to send me pics - she also took pics of me trying on wedding dresses. I was planning on posting once I got them. :)

I did get a 15% discount for my next purchase and I'm looking to see what I should spend it on - maybe I'll get the wrap dress, too. I'm just really new to this concept of being, well, pretty and having nice looking clothes.

I'm so glad to hear about the braless dress, and can't wait to see it. I've wanted one since I first saw it, but, my 42f's just didn't trust. I'll wait for your pics to decide :)
