Peaches and Sanctuarie?

I am going to a formal evening wedding at the end of the month. The bride has amazing fashion sense. So something special is in order. Unless I want to wear blue jeans, I have to get a new dress, or at least a long velvet skirt.

I'm looking for something elegant, cut to show off my cleavage. I look good in fit-and-flare styles. Since the wedding is in Lake Tahoe, velvet may be reasonable. Or maybe not. I'm definitely going to need an evening wrap -- I have a black velvet cape, which should work.

I'm 48, short, pear-shaped, a 24 or so up top and 28 or so around the hips. (Sanctuarie offers princess-cut dresses and other designs for those of us who are Very Pear.)

My mouth is watering over dresses from these sites:

So. Any experiences -- good, bad, indifferent? How does the sizing run? What quality is the fabric? (I really loathe shoddy fabric.) How about workmanship? And is there somewhere else I should be looking for something stunningly original to wear?

Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't been to a really great wedding in years, and I have never been to Lake Tahoe.
