new to my flist jessicaqueen posted her pairing list for the meme and i had a great time reacting. So here is my long winded response with a few additions.
Wait wait...whenever you write SPN, I'm there with bells on! Don't underestimate yourself. You were one of my first contacts with the fandom and I still love your writing, even after I've devoured so much of it (in a very short period, I must say. It ate me up whole too.)
Don't worry about getting noticed unless that's one of the big reasons you write. Do it because you love it, because it tickles that part of your belly. There are people in the world who will notice, DO notice. Like me! Though I do understand how fulfilling it is to be acknowledged for your work by those you respect. I certainly do. Personally, I find the more I reach out and acknowledge others, the more that's reciprocated. I never worry about being the cream of the crop; I just wanna play in the field. :D
I do have a great flist in spn and know so many wonderful folks through our mutual love of show. I guess my experience of fandom is warped because I met and flisted some BNFs early in the game who eat comments for breakfast.
I do treasure comments... I can't help it! Language is a tree falling in the forest unless someone else hears it.
I also want you to know how extremely helpful I've found your fic advice that you gave me back in June. I made it into an inspirational poster!!! :D
I'm taking the summer off spn but I'm sure to be back in a few weeks with bells on!
Ha...even this blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in a while! (I had to go back and figure out what I said. I SO very need to take my own advice.)
Love your line about language. As creatives, our goal is communication, expression. And that doesn't happen if we're talking to a wall. Truth.
Be assured, however, the universe listens. Whether it pings back or not. We listen. :D
I could never get into X-Files fic. I liked the show well enough, but I didn't need to go off and further explore that world.
Joss is such a ficwriter. He basically runs the gamut trying out all the possible ships in canon. Where do you even go from there?!?!
This is truer than true. It's seriously a problem for me, because once a pairing becomes canon I almost immediately turn off it. This is basically the only reason why I'm sort of a little glad that Firefly didn't get a couple of seasons run. However, luckly I'm not a canon Nazi by any means, so sometimes I'm enough into a pairing that when it's potential is Jossed I just pretend it never happened and go AU.
no one can tell me she's not a slash girl at heart
I have this feeling that there was someone standing over Jude Watson's shoulder saying, "Girls, Jude, remember? Girls!," (which was clearly more than King George himself ever had), so she occasionally chucked in a shippy book. But if her character Ferus Olin from her two series that

Sweetie, I LOVE your writing and pretty much cherish every word you decide to share with us. Never underestimate how many of us out here look forward to your postings. We may not always be so great when it comes to commenting but, I promise, we are there. :)
Liam Neeson is my Jedi too! Well, him and Sir Alec Guinness. Oh, did I love me some Qui/Obi back in the day. Were you on the old Master/Apprentice list?

O by the way, yes the book sale is on again this year! Happily, a new person is running it, so it is far more relaxing for me!!
I hope you are having a good time in SC. :)

If you haven't read it, READ IT! I haven't been able to find ANY fanfic this awesome since I read it. Only catch is that it's not finished. :(
