Hee, whole post in response to me!

I could never get into X-Files fic. I liked the show well enough, but I didn't need to go off and further explore that world.

Joss is such a ficwriter. He basically runs the gamut trying out all the possible ships in canon. Where do you even go from there?!?!

This is truer than true. It's seriously a problem for me, because once a pairing becomes canon I almost immediately turn off it. This is basically the only reason why I'm sort of a little glad that Firefly didn't get a couple of seasons run. However, luckly I'm not a canon Nazi by any means, so sometimes I'm enough into a pairing that when it's potential is Jossed I just pretend it never happened and go AU.

no one can tell me she's not a slash girl at heart

I have this feeling that there was someone standing over Jude Watson's shoulder saying, "Girls, Jude, remember? Girls!," (which was clearly more than King George himself ever had), so she occasionally chucked in a shippy book. But if her character Ferus Olin from her two series that came after Jedi Apprentice wasn't gay, then I'm very confused.

I also have such a power imbalance kink, as you can probably tell from some of my pairings.

After he died in book seven I dropped the fandom like a hot potato and never looked back.

You're certainly not alone. But some of the truly Snarry-faithful took his death as a challenge to subvert it in every way. Another way Harry/Snape is like Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon.

For Doctor Who, I never intended to focus so intently on the Doctor/Rose relationship, but apparently I have a lot to say about it. I thought, when I started writing Who, that I'd end up writing a lot of Doctor/Master fic. Instead, all I've written is a couple of drabbles and some implications in fics with other main pairings. Eventually I'll remedy this, I swear.

There are absolutely no taboos that haven't been simply SHREDDED by spn fans.

Oh yeah. I've never written SPN myself, so it doesn't make it onto my meme, but I read enough of it when it first came out. When the main pairing in a fandom is guy-on-guy incest, I think it probably encourages people to push the limits.
