Originally, this was going to be a much smaller event, but then Fandom had to be Fandom and Portalocity had to be Portalocity, and now Zoe was wondering if there would be enough food for everyone or if she'd have to get things from the local restaurants

Kate hadn't run into anyone yet! She'd had work earlier in the day, so the dance was the first thing she made it onto the island for. And so here she was, in a spiffy Corgi dress and a great big smile on her face.

All in all, she cut a much happier and healthier figure than she had six years ago when she'd first traveled to Fandom.

Kate was totally not startled.

Except how she definitely was. She whirled around, her eyebrows bouncing way up and her smile managing to "Leto! Oh my God. Oh my God, how are you? It's been forever!"

Frank filled a cup with punch, poured it from the cup into his mouth in the traditional manner, realized something had gone terribly wrong, and executed a spit take, also in the traditional manner. "What kind of punch is that?" Frank asked. He needed to fix the taste in his mouth, so he took out a flask and drank the whole thing. Fortunately, he had more flasks where that came from: his pocket!

Jenny lifted her own flask to this kid in recognition of his keeping the drunk side up. "Cheers, mate."

Frank put his flask away and grabbed another flask to toast with. "And same to you. I can't believe they put out punch that is so non-alcoholic. Don't they understand what punch is for?"

There's a section of the room with a dance floor that is, for the moment, blissfully unglittery. Go and get your groove on to some moddable music!

April had basically forgotten how to dance without Andy there so she could copy his movements. Also, she hated dancing. So she stood around in the middle of the dance floor and texted her husband. Yeah.

It occurred to Tim, that somehow, he and Gwynn had gone a long time without dancing. And had not yet done so as an engaged couple. He turned to his fiancee (his fiancee!!) and held out his arm. "Would you care to dance my lady?"

Gwynn got to her feet with a smile and linked her arm through his.

"I would love to dance, my lord."

She was still very much the feeling of being somewhat newly engaged.

Zack had never really been the 'shadowy corners' sort, back when he was a student on the island. He'd been more the 'out in the open, dancing with everyone, flirting with almost anything including table legs' sort.

These days... the shadowy corners seemed more his speed. He wasn't lurking, so much, no, but he was kind of standing off to the side, his massive sword on his back and his arms crossed over his chest, quietly watching the crowd with curious, glowing-blue eyes. Maybe he'd spot somebody familiar. Maybe he wouldn't. Either way, he was here.

He knew all too well that there were worse places he could be.

Oh, hey. There was a familiar face it was actually a relief to see. Zack gave Leto a little smile.

"I'm not hiding, exactly," he replied, which... really wasn't the truth, and he didn't think Leto would buy it for an instant. "I'm just sort of... taking it easy. Waiting for the right moment to step out and leap into the action, that sort of thing."

Suuure, Zack.

"Hey, Leto. How are you?"

The Old Corner [Anniv.]

Huh, I'll have to get that fixed before the next event. *goes back to look for anyone who might be messing with the punch.*

[This section of the room - aka, this thread - will make anyone who comes over start acting like the old style of FH playing. *cackles*]
