The totes moddable concessions being offered were a mix of typical carnival food and more exotic options to suit the theme. One stand was offering shots of straight maple syrup.

Rilla was trying very hard not to bump into anyone as she steered herself, Jims, and a bag of mini donuts through the crowd, but it was practically inevitable that she hit someone.

Sookie had managed to get Sam to give her the weekend off on the condition that she'd work the Friday day shift. So, with her hair still up in her ponytail and a jacket thrown over her white Merlotte's t-shirt, she arrived at the carnival. And immediately got herself some funnel cake. Heck yes.

A fair! This was so much fun. Sov picked up some very odd-looking food called cotton candy and wandered around the place.

This was Hania's first experiece of Fandom. She didn't seem that impressed, as she was half asleep in a sling on Leto's back. Leto, on the other hand, was clearly in a good mood.

"Any particular food you've been missing?" he asked Alice.

"I've missed rain more than any particular food," Alice admitted easily. "Is that treasonous to say, now that I've joined a Fremen tribe?"

"Perhaps, but I won't tell anyone," he teased her, leaning in for a kiss. "I have to point out that rain is not very pleasant for me, though." But if Alice wanted rain, he would endure, for a while.

Alice flinched, before returning the kiss. "I had forgotten that," she said. "That rain hurts you. I hope you wouldn't think that I'd wish for anything that might cause you pain."

Two steps into the carnival and a rather scruffy looking Priestly decided that splurging on a portal back to the island for Homecoming was totally worth it.

He was getting seriously tired of glass noodles.

He bought a funnel cake and nibbled on it as he looked around to see who else was there.
