Raven had six very frisky young Dobermen, who, while no longer longing to tear apart anyone they met, were still full of energy. She had found a rescue shelter on the mainland that would take them in, but for now she had somehow secured collars and leashes and was trying to take them for a walk. Rather, they were taking her for a walk.

"One of these days I will open my mouth and something poignant will come out. And everyone will gasp 'Oh my God, all along...we never knew...I can't believe a pretty girl like that never got her teeth fixed.' Because out here in the real world it's all about aesthetics. So I just keep my mouth closed."
Poem written by the beautiful and very talented Donna Lynch.

"In her many years, she has cultivated an unbreakable alliance with the beasts that prowl the wood, with no breach of trust ever coming to light. It is her gift, and it is acknowledged and accepted.
"But when the wolf comes trespassing (and he always has, always will), he has no way of knowing just who he will be reckoning with. To such an interloper she tends to appear rather fragile and diminutive.
"I feel sorry for them...these wolves...that creep in hungrily, their backbones low to the ground, weighted with the heavy burden of cleverness and pompous certainty. Clearly, they do not know that my grandmother and her family have spent many years in the company of far worse creatures than a few wayward hounds."
She was in fact, gremlin bit.
Mun is feeling...whimsical?

Her eyes got big when she spotted Raven with all the dogs.
"Did you get some pets?" she teased.

At Joan's voice, she smiled at her friend. "I rescued them last night while we were rescuing Dinah," she said. "I could not leave them to be mistreated."

"Quite a brood you've got there," she commented to the girl as she came close to passing, watching for signs of lack of control and sending a silent little canine warning to the dogs with her eyes that she wasn't going to take any funny business from any unruly young pups like them, all the while hoping that maybe they'd have better manners than Ankh-Morpork dogs, who would mostly just laugh at a look like that.

Not that she spoke from personal experience or anything. She shook her head lightly, going back to the first part the girl had said.
"Rescued them from what?"
Because that? Usually a good beginning toward the handling thing...

"Cute!" she chirped. "But six of them, Raven? Isn't that bit much for a dorm room?"

"New pets?" she asked curiously, walking over to get a closer look at them.
