This is the story of my ENTIRE LIFE.

Guess what. There's a word for this.

"Dacryphilia."

You're welcome.

Well, that explains a lot about my life. Thanks.

everything about this secret is wrong.

also I love how "covering up every last inch of your skin" is somehow more liberating/appropriate for a woman than the "stripper" costumes.

I think OP's point was that practically every other female costume is a stripper costume. Drawn by men as fanservice and no other reason. I saw nothing about liberating or appropriate "for women" in there. Appropriate "for superheroes" but that's a different thing entirely.

OP is saying that's a better costume than the "stripper uniforms worn by pretty much every female superhero ever", because I guess wearing a hideous jumpsuit from neck to ankles is preferable to looking possibly fanservice-y.

I never noticed it before, but I feel exactly the same way. O_O

It's because they always go through Character Development when in their animal forms. >_> Their original human forms remind you of how they were at the beginning of the movie. It's hard to feel like "they" have changed when all you see is animal-them go on that journey.

Huh. This actually makes a lot of sense.

I was going to say... what's the point when it's based on a work of non-fiction in the first place

I think I know how you feel. I can't write fic for this fandom, even though I really want to. Even when basing it on the show characters it still feels like writing RPS to me. I don't mind RPS of actors or other celebs, but RPS of a bunch of Marines who didn't sign up for fangirls writing porn about them ... I love reading what other people write, but I can't write it myself.

I know how you feel, OP. Part of me wants to get involved in the Band of Brothers fandom, but I can't because it's technically RPS, which I can't get into anyway, and I'd feel really bad about creating thoughts and opinions for people who actually existed.

Sometimes I like to draw fanart for a similar reason. Not for people I personally dislike, but I like making things for pairings or characters who aren't very popular.

Also I can't read this and not think the one character is really saying this to the other.

Wellllll, I don't go out of my way to do stuff like that, but if I happen to like a "rival" pairing of a person I hate then I do take some immature satisfaction from that.
