The 3rd floor Common Room Thursday Evening 9/14

Lavender is cooking up a storm. It had all started when she decided it was her turn to cook after all the free food she’d eaten in the common rooms since she arrived in Fandom. But it looks like she got a little carried away.

Mac made her way down the the third floor, ready to partake in Lavender's food experiment.

She stopped in the doorway and stared. "Woah, that's a lot of food."

Lavender turned around to face Mac. "I have no idea if it's too much or not enough." There was flour in her hair and splashes of various things on her apron.

Mac blinked, and tried not to giggle at the picture in front of her. "No I think you'll have enough. Around here I'm sure people will flock to eat it."

She gestured at her face, "Uh, you have... in your hair."

"Oh!" Lavender made a vain attempt to brush the flour out her hair. "Thanks," she said shrugging. "Help yourself! I made the casserole from your cookbook. I hope it tastes alright."

Peter...really didn't have a nose trained for British cooking. Really. He didn't. And that was exactly why he showed up in the door to the Common Room looking hungry.

"Hey there!" Lavender grinned at Peter. "You hungry?"

Peter grinned. "I could be. Are you truly making food from home?"

Lavender grinned. "There's Cornish pasties over there." she said pointing to the tray. "And Spotted Dick for dessert."

Billy, carrying a shopping bag with chips, dip, soda, cookies and some microwavables came in and deposited the bag on an unoccupied table, then quickly stashed the frozen foods in the freezer.

Lavender waved at Billy.

Billy waved back. "For you and anyone else." he said, pointing to the food.

"You're sweet." she grinned at him.

Luke poked his head into the common room.

"Food?" he asked hopefully.

Lavender smiled at him. "Hello! Help yourself. I'm Lavender." She wiped her hands on her apron.

"Luke," he replied. "And thank you!" He peered at the unfamiliar food. "Um. What is it?"

Lavender smiled sympathetically. "Um ok let's start with this." She pointed to the chicken. "Do you have chickens where you're from?"

Lyra's British nose pointed to the 3rd floor common room as the place from whence yummy (and familiar!) scents came wafting. She walked in, nearly drooling.

"Hello, there!" Lavender waved. "Help yourself."

"Did you make all this?" Lyra asked, grinning at the fellow Brit. She started dishing herself up some food. "It smells like Sunday supper!"

"Yup! That was the idea. I wanted to make food for all the people who ahve made food for me and I missed the food from home. Where you from?"
