Lavender is cooking up a storm. It had all started when she decided it was her turn to cook after all the free food she’d eaten in the common rooms since she arrived in Fandom. But it looks like she got a little carried away.

Mac made her way down the the third floor, ready to partake in Lavender's food experiment.

She stopped in the doorway and stared. "Woah, that's a lot of food."

Lavender turned around to face Mac. "I have no idea if it's too much or not enough." There was flour in her hair and splashes of various things on her apron.

Mac blinked, and tried not to giggle at the picture in front of her. "No I think you'll have enough. Around here I'm sure people will flock to eat it."

She gestured at her face, "Uh, you have... in your hair."

"Oh!" Lavender made a vain attempt to brush the flour out her hair. "Thanks," she said shrugging. "Help yourself! I made the casserole from your cookbook. I hope it tastes alright."

"Well, it looks great," Mac said, taking in the spread. "I'm sure it'll taste just awesome." Mac made her way over to the food, and helped herself to some of the casserole, she then took a long look at the pumpkin juice, "What is that?"

"Pumpkin juice." Lavender said glancing up from the bowl in front of her.

Mac raised an eyebrow, "Never would have thought to drink it as juice." She poured herself a large glass anyway, and put it down on a table nearby so she could try the food.

"This stuff's pretty damn good," she announced, after taking a small forkful, just in case. "Tastes better than mine and I've been making the stuff for years now."

"Really?" Lavender's face lit up. "I admit I used a little bit of magic to tell when it was done."

Mac laughed, "You can do magic that tells you when your food is done? Smooth. That must come in handy."

"Oh it does. Most of the magic I do here is domestic stuff. It's what I'm best at, actually." She put the spotted dick in the oven.
"I hope I have enough dessert." she chewed on her lip as she surveyed the food.

Mac took a look at the table again, "Seriously, there will be plenty of everything. Oh, and if you need more stuff, I still have an entire tub of those cookies I made the other day in my dorm. I could run up and get them for you."

"I'll take your word for it. Hmm those cookies were brilliant. But you should save them for yourself."

"Trust me, I'm becoming an expert in supplying foodstuffs around here." Mac grinned, and took another mouthful of casserole. Once she'd finished her mouthful she continued. "I've been handing out those cookies in the TA lounge all day, they've been going down very well."

"You're a TA?" Lavender looked impressed.

Mac smiled broadly, "Yup, for Professor Abby's internet class. The best part, apart from getting to play with the internet for credit, the lounge. It's just so shiny in there."

"Oooh that does sound like fun. What do you do as a TA?"
