Elizabeth actually gets to the lobby a good fifteen minutes after it starts, carrying coffee and breakfast.

Anders passes by on his way out for a run, eyes the table, and stops for a moment.

"Hey!" he blurts out, and takes off at a sprint back toward his room. When he returns a minute or so later, he's got his wallet in hand and a slightly goofy grin on his face (is he ever going to stop grinning like a goof over this sort of thing?). "Hi, Elizabeth. Guess I'll be needing two of those."

Elizabeth grinned, and blinked. "Morning, Anders," she said, snapping the paper tie around the tickets. "That's going to be $50 then please."

"I've totally never done this before," he mumbled as he fished a twenty and three tens out of his wallet, the goofy grin turning slightly nervous. Handing the money over, he said, "Morning yourself. How ya been? I haven't talked to you in forever."

Marty walks by Elizabeth and the pile of tickets and breaks out into a cold sweat.

Might as well get this over with.

"Hey Elizabeth. I'll take... um.... *coughs* two tickets please."

Elizabeth looked up and smiled at him. "Hey, Marty. Welcome back," she said, picking up two tickets. "That's $50, please."

Marty seemed to be getting a nervous tic in his right eye as he pulled out his wallet. "Thanks, it's good to be back. Feels a little weird to come back on Monday and suddenly: *Whammo* 'Time for Prom!'. Know what I mean? Or is it just me who feels that way?"

Elizabeth moved on to her copy of the New York times, frowning at the article about Duke lacrosse players being charged with rape.

"Hey," Sam said, walking up, amused by the idea of Elizabeth, former interstellar diplomat, now head of the prom committee. "Wow, this is something, isn't it?"

"Hey, Sam," Elizabeth smiled, laying down her paper. "Want a prom ticket?"

She blushed and fidgeted a little. "I'm not sure. Er, has Cameron been by?"
