The only reason that Dolf had picked this particular common room was because it was the first one, which meant more people might see it. Chuck... would not be trying to trek his way through any boggy labyrinth. He wasn't really the best person to have in this sort of situation, even if he was freaking a lot less than he would've been just a year ago.

He had been planning to find some kind of frozen pizza. But seeing the sign, guilt kicked in and he hesitated, moving back towards the table to double check.

"Most of the food stores are gone," Dolf said, by way of explanation. Because making Chuck's horror worse is what they should be going for, here. "If we don't watch what we eat, we might run out."

Yeah, of all the bad things that had crossed Chuck's mind being stranded in the dorms and surrounded by boggy labyrinth.... Running out of food was actually not one of them.

"... I don't think I'd do well with that." He'd sort of figured these cupboards were magic or something. They always seemed to be full!

"You will have to," Dolf said, picking up a sandwich and waving it around like he badly wanted to stick it in Chuck's face. "We don't know how long this will last."

"It would be pretty useful," Dolf admitted. He gave her a smile, trying to project don't show anyone how scared you are the way he'd done during those months in 1212. It was working so far. "Which common room is yours?"

He nodded thoughtfully. "Just make simple sandwiches," Dolf instructed. "So we don't waste too much food."

A pause.

"You're at reserves, right? I'm Dolf." Which she probably already knew if she was at reserves, but it was polite, right? Right.
