2nd Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Dec 08, 2010 17:39

The only reason that Dolf had picked this particular common room was because it was the first one, which meant more people might see it. He was worried about the amount of food they had left in all the fridges; it might keep them going for a few more days at the rate they went through it, but what if this went on for months?

So he'd taken it on himself to do a bit of optional rationing, because he knew he didn't exactly have the authority to tell everyone what to do. He'd gathered meat, and ham, and cheese, and bread, and gotten to work.

Sandwiches. Sandwiches made in the ancient calvinist Dutch tradition of no-more-than-two-slices-of-anything-and-make-sure-there's-only-one-ingredient. He set a large plate full of them down in the middle of the room.

Then he added a note. Please eat no more than three. If you eat some, don't take anything from the fridges tonight! Only you can help with food rationing!

It was possible he took this a little too seriously, even for an invasion. Blame it on the starving children.

... No, seriously. He'd seen a lot.
