Magic/Support Reserves Meeting, The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon

Raven was just a little nervous to start the reserves meeting. She'd gotten more used to speaking up in class, but talking in front of a group of people who were all looking at her was a different story. A gentle nudge from Karla had been necessary to get her to step forward and begin to speak

Harper had finally caught on to the fact that the Support Services had moved to a different day. She helped herself to some treats and looked around to see who she knew and who she needed to meet.

Kennedy, per usual, had taken up her spot at the periphery, arms crossed and expression intent. Research wasn't her strong point or anywhere near her favorite part of the job, and she didn't get the fun prophetic Slayer dreams (as far as she knew), so this was pretty much a non-activity for her.

She was paying attention, though, and keeping an eye out for anyone who seemed to take to the job pretty well, as well as anyone who tended to lean toward Raven's pacifist approach. Had to know who not to try and drag along when fighting went down, after all, and who to go to when the geek stuff needed to get done.

She... might have been formulating ideas about streamlining the phone tree. Oh, God, that was practically organizational. Maybe she took after her dad a little more than she'd thought.

"I'm still relatively new to computers and the internet," Karla said once Raven had finished speaking. "But Black Widows are the caste of dreams and visions, and that includes prophecy. Given enough time, I can probably spin a tangled web to try to see the future--but the answers I'll get are usually given in dream-imagery. Not particularly concrete, but it might nudge us in the right direction."

"I'm pretty good with books?" Tara offered. "I, um, I'm at the Magic Box every week and it's usually pretty quiet so I've read a lot there. I can't see the future or anything."

"I'm really good at reading and doing research," Chloe surprised herself by speaking up. It was probably clear from her facial expression that she hadn't planned on speaking. "I usually c-can find things out with research or uhm... other ways."

Emmett was here but on SP until later in the afternoon and trying to decide if his mad skillz at finding free porn on the internet could be translated to anything more helpful. (And trying to imagine a situation on the island where being good at finding free porn could be helpful. It was frighteningly easy.)
