Teddy Roosevelt Firepit [afternoon]

Claudia was out in front of her cabin with her easel and acrylic paints. And a raspberry beret (really. Raspberries on it and everything) on, just in case anyone was missing out on the fact that she was Being An Artist Now, Okay?

She was painting a still life of the camp. It was...pretty good.

"Hey there, War Crimes," Griff called out, spotting his cabinmate at work as he took up a spot near her easel. "You painting? It's not half bad." Even if she did wear literal raspberry berets.

Claudia wrinkled up her nose at him at the nickname. "I totes shouldn't have told you that," she decided. "Hi. You didn't happen to trip over a pair of pink calf-length go-go boots this morning, did you?"

Griff raised an eyebrow at the idea of pink go-go boots. "Oh, with the bit of fur on the edge?" He lied. "Yeah. I tossed 'em out the back door. Sorry if they were yours."

"Ack!" Claudia replied. Yes, she really said "ack."

"And if you get hungry, you could always graze from your hat." Leda said without preamble when she saw Claudia.

"Except they're plastic and it would taste nasty," Claudia replied with a little frown. "Rude much?"

"Oh sorry. Next time I'll ask permission before complimenting your headgear."

"Next time don't start a conversation by telling me to eat my headgear," Claudia replied. "Most people go with 'hi.'"

Diana, with Samuel in her arms once more, was amused to see her "Big Sister's" hat and walked over. "Hey Claudia."

"Hi, Diana!" Claudia chirped happily. "Hi, Samuel! Nice day, huh?"

"It's sunny." Diana commented and put Samuel down on the ground next to Claudia before glancing at Claudia's work. "Pretty."

"Thanks you," she said, beaming. "I wanted to remember what this was like and the light'll be different if we have to come back to the cabins later in the summer."

Éowyn couldn't help but take notice of Claudia - she was a difficult person to miss, after all - and she tried to look to see what she was doing without disturbing her. She wasn't very good at being sneaky though, especially when it came to peering over someone's shoulder.
