Oooh, good idea... I've contemplated that premise before but never really been too sure how to organise it. If you can point me in the direction of one you've seen previously, or are happy to give me a quick run-down on how it works, then I'd definitely be happy to add a request post.

I would like to make my donation through Lutheran World Relief. They are on the ground, focus on sustainable development as well as direct aid, and I can get my donation doubled by my life insurance provider, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

I know that not every faith based organization is reputable, but LWR has the same rating as several of the other organizations on your list, including MSF. They are working through the Lutheran World Federation, which is directly managing the Dabaab refugee camp in Kenya.

Please let me know if this will be an acceptable donation. Thanks for your hard work!

Hi there! Thanks heaps for running this by us first. We're really trying to keep on top of the agencies donated to simply because the situation with getting aid into Somalia has been so difficult (which is also why we've been accepting agencies working in Kenya and Ethiopia in particular).

It's fine for you to donate to the organisation you've outlined above. Again, thanks for checking and also, thanks for participating!!
