In the time it takes for the work to be created; the auctions to take place, the money to be received and then sent to the charity chose...hundreds will have died.
I don't doubt your good will
I'm not denigrating the organizers of this comm....I'm just pleading for the cause.
Please....think about how much you will be willing to bid for a story/artwork etc....and just send it to one of the many accredited agencies out there trying to save lives NOW

As far as I know, there isn't a v-gift for Somalia at this stage (though, should they create one then we'll definitely encourage people to use that method. We've used them in the past where they've been available).
Donations are to be made directly to charity foundations in this fundraiser also. We've provided a list of links with several suggestions (Doctors without Borders, Red Cross, the UN Food Programme etc).
