Fandom Radio: Tuesday August 10th

Aug 11, 2010 00:10

Hey Fandom, it's Tuesday, and this is Rose Hathaway coming to you for your nightly gossip on WTFH. I don't actually have anything else to say here so I'll just start in on the news.

School

Right, yeah, classes are first to get 'em out of the way. Advanced Sneakiness had to discuss if they'd learned anything in class that helped 'em during the whole craptacular shit last weekend. Elena and Anemone were around to supervise the discussion like good TAs while Professor Skywalker got quizzed about the weekend by Leia. Applied Dadaism - and one of these weeks, I'm gonna figure out what the crap that class is actually about - went on a very weird treasure hunt.

*chitterings*

Sorry. They went on a TREASURE HUNT. I didn't emphasize that enough the first time or something. Problem Solving - aka the class with way too long a name - talked about some kind of stone angels and how to get out of a cave. Sorry, I have no freaking clue. The squirrels are trying to tell me what this is about but I don't understand interpretive dance. The Doctor chatted with Cara about how she'd been in a hole - hee - and if she'd seen Hiccup anywhere.

Math got everyone confused because the teacher decided to bitch about redheads and making out instead of teaching and then had them all invent anti-ginger machines. Poor Lindsay sounds like she was about as confused as I am. Leadership blah blah blah talked about the Lady and Tiger but Dinah wanted to know what Dr. Horrible got up to this weekend and Jenny learned that in a group other people can smush you.

And we've gotten to the library and Rinoa and Henry working hard on books and emails respectively. Summer ran Study Hall and like every week, I'm totally glad no one went cause jeez, it's SUMMER.

...hey...squirrels! You didn't give me all the notes. *flipping papers* Okay, whatever, I'm sorry, but I don't have any notes on Gym today. I guess it was...gym-y? People ran laps. There.

Dorms

There was a lot of checking up on people today so if I don't give details, let's just assume they were being checked up on, okay? I don't even have a clue what happened this weekend, but I'm going with it sucked. Ender packed for a trip home and got Ben reminding him to be careful. Which is, you know, fine, but damn, careful is boring. Quinn did the same thing - minus the visit from Ben, but she did end up with Claudia telling her about how she wants to throw a party and K-Mart introducing themselves before diving into the weekend news.

Alex Karev had his arm in a sling - what the hell - but he was smoking in his room anyway. Griff played mother and probably made him tea or something since he's British then Rosalind played the 'I am worried about you so I'll snark' game. Yeah, this is me worried about you too, Alex. Emma did something in the salle that led to turning herself into diamonds - or, no, sorry, I can't read - turning herself back into a person. Which still makes NO SENSE. And this evening, Tara turned into a guinea pig. Finally. Something normal.

Speaking of normal, Robin the frog jumped off the roof. I don't have any further information on that. The Reserves met, of course, and they wanted to discuss how to be better next time something happens. Apparently the cookie stock was short though which might be why no one talked to Jak or Zack.

Town

Almost done! Now we just have the who-worked-where and who-wasn't-visited list. Ariel was sad at Pixie Dust but she got a visit from Chuck. The young one, not Bass. Hinata and her cat took on Book Haven, Jono and his fish rocked out at Groovy Tunes, Ino and no pet wrote emails at Covent Garden. Raven kept up the non-pet theme as she read a romance novel at the sex shop. And I'm guessing that Apu wishes he could pretend to nap like Loki did at MHA because Shunsui talked Apu's ear off at T&C. Cally started up the pet thing again by reading to her baby at MCA, and Mary dealt with Gunther's whining at the hotel. Weird how things all happen similarly on the same day. Pretend that sentence made sense, okay? Oh yeah, Dimitri was totally observant in noticing I was no longer a bobcat at Atlas, thank God. If the squirrels try to tell you shit about mice, they're making it up. Got it?

Jack Priest - hey! When did Jack get into town, and why didn't I know? - spent the morning at the Perk being besieged by people who wanted to talk to him. Alex and Karla came at different times, but they both chose the topic of Emma being difficult to chat about. Wow, Emma's gonna be thrilled to hear that. Dinah told Jack about the roadtrip she'd been on, and Emma showed off her new lack of being diamond and took Jack back to his portal.

Oh, right, my phone's still in the cabins what with the whole being a cat and all. Dammit. If you're listening, Jack, hi!

...Jaina and Ben met up at the Perk today too - and what the hell, you miss a week, and everything happens. Seriously. Jaina, when did you get back and why do the squirrels think you're old?

Fine, fine, moving on. Robin and Jake the adult do shots at Caritas cause Robin is getting married. Not that anyone needs a reason to do shots. Dr. Hawkeye had equipment set up at the Clinic for his First Aide students to practice on, but it doesn't look like any people actually needing medical attention showed up. Which is good.

That's all I got for tonight, guys. Next week I'll try not to be so freaking behind on everything. Glad everyone seems mostly safe and stuff. Have a good night!
