This is not that. It is even better. I am living in Beckford's Tower in - or rather, above - Bath. Decorated in Regency style, but with all the mod cons - except net access. Funny how William Beckford in 1822 didn't think to have that included in his splendours. (I am writing this

Did you get to the Baths in Bath? I love them.

I also nearly got to see the Mediaeval Baebes play at Berkeley Castle once as part of the Joust festival - but that was 2007, the year it was cancelled due to severe flooding of the area and there hasn't been another since. :-(

Not its notoriousness, but it mentioned how Beckford fell in love with his cousin William, and how the families tried hard to keep them apart. Made me want to read more.

The tour guide denied that such horrible things ever happened to him, and, in fact, claimed he was boringly suffocated. Since I don't trust the guide and don't believe that Christopher Marlowe would ever lie to me (would he?) I prefer not to believe her at all.

Season 5 is fun. Comments will follow whenever I have time. (Hah! guess who isn't unpacked yet.)

I would be happy to be kidnapped. But it wouldn't even take that much. Find me a job in the UK, and I'm there...!
