Delilah really needed a break. All this drama llama Compendium angst and Anser being more of an asshole than usual and stupid school and idiot people and that trainer who made her quads ache so bad - it all disappeared, when she took Wolf downstairs, and took him off his leash.
The dog, now the size of a little horse and probably twice as heavy, was content to bound around the expansive lobby, nails clicking in his rabid pursuit of a somewhat pathetic looking tennis ball. It wouldn't last much longer, but then, Delilah expected John to reemerge and put a stop to her indoor antics any second.
She froze when the door opened, arm half-cocked to fling the ball again. But - "Hey! Cassandra, right? I'm Delilah. Wolf's here too." She let the ball drop, but Wolf seemed uninterested, now, tail lifted and ears perked. "It's okay," she said to him, with an affectionate pat on the head. Then to Cassandra, "Can I tell him to go make friends?" Wolf remained standing at Delilah's side, her hand on his head. Beast of a dog or not, she had him well
Jordan is made of FAIL for taking so long on this pose.lepetitrougeMarch 3 2008, 18:22:35 UTC
"Play nice," Delilah said, gave Wolf one last pat on the head, and let him go. The dog bounded over to the pair near the door, ears still up and tail wagging a little bit now. Sniffing ensued.
"Kind of a prereq for the job, yeah?" she said, shoving her hands in her hoodie pockets and meandering over. "He's got to go with you everywhere, right? Uhhh I'm good thanks, standard teenage highschool bullshit and the Man trying to keep me down but whatev. I will survive. Cue song and dance. What's up with you?"
