Agros had been pacing back and forth in Cassandra's apartment so much she was sure that if she went to feel, there'd be doggie paw prints on the rug. It was time to take him for a walk, this time instead of just going around the block, she'd walk to the Pen. After getting her stuff together and putting on her jacket, she and Agros headed out of the apartment and walked the couple of blocks down to the Pen.
The tip of her cane clicked against the sidewalk until they got in front of the Pen and Agros nudged Cassandra in the right direction. She counted the steps up to the front doors and went inside, wondering who was around if anyone. She did promise John she'd come by after all.
