MATT SMITH IS ELEVEN FTW!!!

I haven't seen the Confidential yet -my sisters taped it, luckily- but that will change in half an hour or so.

I'm really pleased it's him! I had noticed him in The Ruby in the Smoke as a really cute and shy guy and I think he will be a delightful doctor. Who's with me ( Read more... )

I AM SO WITH YOU (even though no one else seems to be). I'm excited for Matt Smith, especially after seeing the Confidential. He was so excited and it was so cute. I cannot wait to see what he'll do with the role.

Filling Tennant's shoes is a big job and I give him props for doing it, especially with the fans already tearing him apart which is really said. I'm excited. :D

Eleven followers are scarce, it seems. But I'm glad you're one of them!

His enthusiasm and his excitement really made me excited and enthusiastic about playing the next doctor in turn. So yeay for flappy hand gestures and weird hairstyles!

On the gallifrey forum fans are not tearing him apart. 90% of them are really excited! They all think he's an interesting choice. Maybe he's a bit young but he's a great actor and they all look forward to 2010!

Only ten percent are angry you say? Then why does it seem as if so many people are unhappy about him? Ah well, I hope everyone will do a one eighty once they get used to the idea.

I'm with you.

Absolutely fell in love with him in Ruby in the Smoke, and I do think he's cute, and, just, yes - I have done so much squeeing this evening that I'm all squeed out.

I'm fairly happy about the casting, too - a complete surprise, as I had no idea he was even in the running/being rumoured for the role, yet I liked him in the Sally Lockhart movies so I think he'll be a good choice. I was hoping for an older Doctor, but there's still the possibility for him to be young but act old, and that would appease me.

I'm ready for a male companion, too - it's time to mix things up a bit.
