There are so many delicious things in this post. I've got to ask about the collection of tea plants -- are they difficult to maintain? I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know the first thing about tea plants. I assume that a lot of it would probably come down to what kind you've got, but I am absolutely no green thumb. Are they awfully temperamental, or pretty easy to work with?
I read Cunt years and years ago. At the time it was really helpful to me. Mesmerizing and proud and chalked full of good information that I was really desperately needing when I didn't have anyone around me to share or hear those kinds of thoughts from. But I wasn't reading it critically at all. I was just sort of observing it without passing any sort of judgment. I tried to pick it back up a couple years after and found it awfully problematic. I ended up selling my copy actually, so I really couldn't point to anything specific. I just got the overall feeling that, while it was cleverly lined in one direction, it was awfully dismissive of...

I'm a very beginner in plant-related things, too. Every plant I've owned and loved has withered and died. I'm worried. But I asked for advice, and the lady said "BE ABSOLUTELY SURE NOT TO LET IT DRY OUT". So here, that means you have to water it every single day. Also, it's really sensitive to frost, so you have to bring it indoors if that's a threat

My jaw dropped at all those books. Not because of a DEM BOOKS moment (though i feel like i'm disappointing, if i don't at least make such a comment), but because i kind of want to read them, too. Although, disappointing so far about Cunt...
All that chocolate. That tea plant. Man, however do you find such rad stuff? (Oh man did i just use "rad" for the first time ever? The time just felt right.)
You know what this is, right? This is really all fegie baiting. HEY. HEY. HEEEEEEEY.
COME HERE. ;w;
No, really, my books are so unloved. I mean, of course I love them so very much, but they longed to be touched by other loving hands and read by adoring (or-not-so-adoring) eyes. Granted, it would make more sense for me to come see you someday because other than the awesomeness of ME, SK has nothing to offer but...all my books live here. ): FFFFFFFFFFFFF.
Oohohoho, if you can, though, you should use thriftbooks.com! It has free shipping in the States (which I am horribly jealous of - shipping was just short of $50 for me. :/) As long as you don't care about "condition", that is. All of them were in the condition they marked them as, but being used, you can't expect pristine condition. Oh! And the books that come from library books sales also support libraries there.
Oh my gosh! I love your tea collection! My husband and I love herbal teas, but I have never grown my own before. The "earl gray" scarlet bee balm sounds interesting!
And what a nice little treat to come home to! A bag of books, now that is happiness all wrapped up :)
I now have a dried and a fresh tea collection! I'm proud of myself. :B We've grown a couple of herbs before, but never explicitly for tea. I've always wanted to, so here goes. I'm loving the scarlet bee balm, but unfortunately, it's the smallest plant in there. I have to be careful not to overpick it.
And yes! Happiness indeed (Until you have to move them all, like I did less than three weeks ago. I'll never learn).
You should be proud of yourself! That's great! You've definitely inspired me :). What is your favourite herbal tea?
Hahaha yes I know how you feel. When we bought our house and moved into it, I had to pack and move all my books. I originally packed them into huge boxes, but of course they couldn't be lifted haha, so I had to move them into tons of smaller boxes. Though it was a big job, it was still fun and very satisfying when the job was done :).
I only have one SBP icon, and I hardly use it. ): BOOOOO. Like I said, if you lived here, they're totally fair game. I wish people would borrow my books!
And then I wanted to ask how certain books were, but instead I searched them up on GoodReads, and spent like 20 minutes just looking at other things. DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU DO TO ME?! ;3 <3
I have his other book Fairy Tale Rituals and from what I read of it, I quite liked it. But this book is much more to my taste, so I'm sure I'll love it, too. Have you read Dark Fairies by Bob Curran? It's quite a similar idea.
