Even aside from the other ideas, this one is especially and amazingly and also quantifiably wrong. Male on male collisions are causing concussions, thanks. (putting to the side the issue of really awful sports injuries in young female athletes. or how sad major injuries in the careers of the young can be, which is: very sad, utterly aside from gender.) Other than the *headdesks* of course that this prompted, in which case yes: women in sport are causing concussion, if only the Patriarchy didn't do things like it does! The Patriarchy is the fucking worst.

anyway, that wasn't the point. the point is: you are right, they are wrong.

I'm far less a sports fan of any sort than I am someone who minds watching a few sports marginally less than she did in high school.

ALSO: if they try to run a fucking All-Staal line in Raleigh next year, I will stab someone in the eye with my pen.I was also checking the draft, but I forgot to mention it. shiiiiiiit, the Hurricanes top-line is going to be the worst thing in all of hockey. at least they didn't trade Dwyer or Tlusty, or the NHL-level defencemen. I originally typed "or Sutter" but I guess the second line is going to be a horror show too. I mean, I would assume that after EStaal's performance at the Olympics That Will Not Be Named, we all determined that since he can't win faceoffs (which he, to his credit, has gotten somewhat better at ( ... )

If they try and run an All-Staal line, I will laugh and laugh forever, and take the occasional moment to feel sorry for your pain. But after a Jarett Stoll/Jared Staal line, an All-Staal line would be my second-biggest hope for things involving Staals ( ... )

I hate this team; I have been looking at the Norwegian top-flight soccer league for any signs of similar brotherly pairs and I haven't found a ton, so maybe I will just go watch that!!
