People around here seem to be getting better about SDs working. So I dont have so many problems. I still have the idiot parents who encourage their kid to pet, Ive had to get rude on 2-3 occasions. I really have to figure out soon on what I'm going to do with Sunny aging and my health getting worse. I am really reluctant to get another dog since Suns always preferred to be an only dog. Plus what ever dog I get should probably be a big dog as my own mobility is failing. I don't know
I am not yet ready to battle BSL with a pit, plus I am currently having a go round with my neighbor over his horribly behaved pitbull. My apartment manager has already said she would support me in any breed I choose including any that are on our apartments banned list. But it would not look good for me to be bitching about his pit then get one myself. Granted he also smuggled his in avoiding the ban and the pet deposit. Due to that the behavior issues, his lack of picking up after it and him leaving it alone for 3 days they are he has to get rid of it ASAP or be evicted.
My partner's service dog's vest just says "Medic Alert" and a few other words. Everybody we meet is very careful to stay away and ask permission before approaching him.
The vest is red with black trim and some seal kind of things, looks sort of official. But it doesn't say anything about 'in training'. Anyway you can get any vest you want, no permission needed, and order seals to say anything, and sew them on.
His service is monitoring my partner's blood sugar by smell, so he can have some petting, treats, etc from others without interfering with that.
i got back an email that said that they thought it qwould be a littyle less than 1,000 but when i looked at gas and all it wasnt enough of a difference to make a difference. :(
