What did Helping Hands say? Or is Richmond too far to drive?

odd... I guess it's not a simple tooth extraction, then - their pricelist is around $150something for most dental stuff. but maybe if the tooth's broken below the gumline...

Sorry that didn't work out ;(

I just sent a note to a couple people I know who frequent Richmond, but I'd imagine that's not an unusual question for Helping Hands to answer. Did they tell you how long you'd be leaving Bella? Is it a "leave the dog in the morning and pick up in the afternoon and we'll get to her when we can" or "this is the appointment time and this is how long we figure it'll take us"?

I'd imagine the actual procedure isn't particularly long.

It might be worth calling them instead of emailing, if it turns out you've not already talked with them -- any pre-op bloodwork (I remember you mentioning some) should be within 48 hours and they don't do their own.

heh
they do now
blood work can now be done on site at a n additional charge. we will be getting up at 1 am to go down.. unless we can find a DIRT cheap place to crash

Hm. they have a couple hotels mentioned on their website that accept dogs and are around $50 a night. I'm afraid I don't really know anything about Richmond (I'm up in DC); is there SCA down there?

Re places to hang around during the day, we've been having pretty decent weather, and there's a cute waterfront I think.

nod.. i was planning on one of them, but i always like to hear from locals if .. you know maybe one is much better or qworse.

and i am trying to contact SCA, yes there is much there. but i wanted this done and so is short notice.

i do have one advantage. since Bella is my service dog, i could stay at a "no pets" hotel, IF I HAD TO. i dont want to if i can avoid it however...
