Dog Blog: tiring day and facebook and etc

first of all, Bella has her own LJ  now. bella_cash .
she also has her own facebook.... "Bella Cash"

i forgot to mention that yesterday, after talking to several people, we "upgraded" Bella's dog food.  It will cost more per bag, but its very nutrient dense and apparently you dont feed as much of it....and i like the ingredient list.

Roscoe was seriously lacking in muscle tone when we first got him~~five months in a shelter will do that. She'll tone up in no time, especially if she gets to romp with other puppies on a regular basis. *grin*

well, we are now buying her this demi organic (antibiotic and hormone free chicken, real veggies, whole grains only) dog food at a local place called Pets Plus. (philadelphia) its new so i dont have the name memorized.

she isnt really food motivated, but i expect she will like Greenies.. they are expensive though. we gave her some rawhide chews and they dont last long!!!!!

we bought her a Kong (toy) and stuffed it with canned food and she ..doesnt...care. Max would have ripped that thing to shreds to get canned food!

there is a brand of freeze dried liver i was going to buy her, but the vet tech tried to give her one and she IGNORED it!!!
now this may change once she settles in.

but its weird right now!

vet bills and training bills will be most of her expenses i guess. and getting her harness and etc.

Okay... I have a golden and they are always food motivated (though, there are treats he doesn't go for). Since he's older (and he's large) I found something spectacular that isn't too dear price wise (for treats, don't use this as the only 'support' for joint and bone health, at that rate it would be quite expensive).

http://www.dogswell.com/happy_hips . the duck breast treats.. they are like jerky in texture. I swear Scooter THINKS they are the best bacon EVAR. I cut them down to 4 per strip, and he loves them.
