Hi. I realize you don't know me, but I happen to be bored at work and just happened to see your post, randomly running by. As one does. I joined WW a few months ago and when I signed up (through monthly meetings), the online access was "free" with membership - if for some reason my monthly meetings stop meeting (they sometimes do since I am through my work site and we don't always have the min members for every semester - say, summer) and I don't join up for monthly meetings somewhere else then I pay the 12.95 per month myself. The best thing to do is to find a meeting online through the WW site and contact the leader of that meeting. But going to the meetings is worth it, and I do find the online tracking to be easier (for me at least). Most people do a points plan (you get a certain number of points per day depending how much you weigh); you eat that number of points. The online point tracker helps you determine how many points each food is worth. You have some leeway with points, depending on how much you exercise and you ( ... )

WW uses a point system where your daily allotted points are calculated by using your weight, age, sex and general activity level. As you lose weight, your allotted points decrease (about 1 point every 10 pounds), because your energy needs decrease ( ... )

I just recently changed my eating habits and got back to exercising, myself. I have a friend who did weight watchers, and she really liked it. I think it worked good for her, but she hated going to the meetings (that was a personal problem, though). Best of luck with it!

I'm sure all of this has been mentioned above but I too joined Weight Watchers. I joined with my wife. We signed up for the meetings and the online tools were thrown in. We had a wonderful moderator for our meetings and a good group. It was very motivational. I also used the online tools quite a bit. They are very good. The point system is very easy to follow as long as you can have access to some type of reference to look up the points. If you are looking to save money, sign up for a month or two, learn the program, get the reference materials, then drop your membership.

Oh, yeah, I did lose the weight I wanted to lose.
