Maybe I'll join bookcrossing. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Orchids are my favorite flowers. *sigh* Have fun!

What kind of dog is Buffy, by the way? I'm sure that you've mentioned it, but my memory is a bit Swiss-cheesed at present.

I haven't tried BPAL yet, but most of my flist have mentioned it. (And I love scents!) Perhaps that is what I'll spend my birthday money on. ^_^
When I moved, most of my perfumes and such were left behind. I have two bottles of California Perfume Co. White Lilac, and one mini-bottle each of Island Soap Company perfumes: moonlight rain, wicked wahine, orchid, pikake jasmine, hula, and plumeria.
(The white lilac has sentimental value, and is a collector's item; it comes in a vintage bubble glass bottle, and was sold by Avon. My mom, who is allergic to lilacs, would buy me a vial every year for my stocking.)

Buffy is a half border collie/ half sheltie. she has a border collie body with a sheltie face mask.... she is cute and she knows it!

anytime you want to chat orchids, just holler.

absolutely join bookcrossing. when you set up your account, if you remember, make sure its "referred by fabric-dragon" fabric dash dragon. a girl in california alrady had "fabricdragon"

like most tings you can spend a ton of money on bookcrossing buying all the doo dads, but you can also do it on the cheap. i do suggest buying the bookmarks if you can, all of my caught books had bookmarks, they explain the webpage very well....

send me an email with your address, and the fact that you want some BPAl. tell me what kind of scents you like (floral? food? what?) and i will send you some of my imps. also join "sinandsalvation" and plead newbie... i got a lot of people's discards and it helped me find out what i like...

I'd always wanted a sheltie, actually. I grew up in a four-room apartment that did not allow pets, so it wasn't until I moved to Orlando that I was able to get a dog. (That's my corgi, Ringo, in my icon.) We knew that corgis had been trained as hearing dogs, so I may look into a trainer for him if my hearing worsens.

Will do, on both counts.

Thanks for the info on bookcrossing.

And finally... perfume reviews and imps are definitely welcome. I'm asking any of my flist to let me know what they thought of their imps, since I really like the sound of Sin & Salvation. I might purchase an imp of Kitsune-Tsuki, since I love jasmine as well.
I'll email you with details.

Thanks again!

, since the main thing a hearing ear dog has to do is visibly alert, and preferably run back and forth from the noise "doorbell" to the person "hey! there is a doorbell ( ... )

Oh, I adore Ursulav (I know her from DeviantArt)! She is such a talented artist. I second that suggestion!

I'll take a WW and a side of Digger to go please...hehe

That's odd about Bpalish things. The green/aquatic scents are usually wonderful on me, but the floral bits do bad things to my skin. I just not a floral type of girl I guess.. Le sigh

I can wear Orchid scents though, which pleases me to no end. My fellow fiend and I are going to be in so much trouble when our apartment gets settled. We both love orchids.

:)

many orchids bloom onlly once a year, so if it isnt blooming dont get too worried, however the number one reason for lack of blooming on an orchid is.... low light.
Orchids for Dummies is pretty darn good.
the same author has a book out on mini orchids.

see next post later today.....
