reappearance for theatrical_muse

What do you see when you look in the mirror?I see a young girl, barely a woman, with blue eyes and dark hair and spots. I see an old, grey-haired man. I see a blonde woman. I see a pilot. I see a gymnast. I see a dreamer and a politician and a scientist ( Read more... )

OOC--Ezri and I both quite like that comment--"Each day you live is one more day that it would not have had if you weren't around." And Ezri and I both love you madly. ::tackles::

Ezri smiles wryly.

I can't ignore what the symbiont thinks of me. It's like having a second mind, a second system of reasoning. Ostensibly, I'm in control, but there are eight of them and only one of me. Sometimes I watch myself doing things that...

She pauses, biting her lip, suddenly feeling a sword hilt in her hands, the way her image was reflected back to her in the shining metal--and any number of other images, memories from the last two years, none quite so drastic as the first, but all subtle reminders that somehow, in some way, her life is no longer her own.

Things that I never would have done as Ezri Tigan.

I mean, I don't hate Dax. Not at all. It deserves...respect. More than I give it sometimes, I think. It's older than I am. It's probably wiser, too.

She smiles, just a little bitterly. Although you could say that that's not hard to ( ... )

LOL. :D Geeks are awesome.

Oh, btw, referring to "the guy"--don't talk about him in my LJ, because he has the address and he reads it all the time, kay? ;) There was enough embarrassment when he read my LJ userinfo, and I forgot that about a year ago, I'd put his name on the list of lust objects. ::blush:: That was an awkward moment.

No, it's a pretty new book, but you might not find it as it might count as special interest. Although it was at the library in our little town, so.... And I will lend it to you if you want. (I need to get it out of the house so cousin Steven, who doesn't know about Jadzia's death yet, won't find out!)

O.o I will say, I usually understand your lust objects, but...Vader? Um.... I'll just trust you on that one. :D

If it weren't for that whole 'being a pycho murderer and killing people in cold blood on a regular basis' thing, I'd totally fall madly in love with Joran. As it is, I can lust after him. *_* Shiiiiny....

Heh! No worries--I was talking about the older guy, the one that Nenya knew, not the one I call Julian. (I have way too many confusing love interests. I could be my own personal soap opera.) I don't think you even mentioned the older guy. (I should give him a name. How 'bout...um...considering that he and 'Julian' actually have the same first name, I'll call him Bashir ( ... )

Ezri laughs at his comment about going mad. I think I never would have said yes to this worm if I weren't mad already, she says wryly. But you should have seen me the first week or two I was joined. I would wake up under the bed, or in the closet, or once or twice in the bathtub. There were moments when I literally could not remember my name or why I was aboard a ship or why my clothes were made for a five-foot-tall woman, and for days at a time I would only answer to Jadzia. It was almost like I had a dissociative disorder. My past hosts weren't trying to screw me up, though. We were all trying to figure out what to do about this new situation, and because I wasn't trained to deal with it, they didn't know how much of an effect their input had on me. In addition to listening to their guidance, I have to be their leader and assert control when it's needed, and I didn't know that, and they didn't know that I didn't know that. It was a lot of trial and error, I suppose ( ... )

Damar's eyes soften slightly as she explains the complications of her initial transformation as a joined Trill. The thought of losing sense of one's mind or body frightens the normally controlled Cardassian and though he tries to be understanding there is an edge of fear that lingers in his eyes. He knows what it is like to lose control. He knows that feeling only too well, only he chose to let alcohol be his master instead of the other way around.

THat must have been more then a little agitating...Or rather frightening...So how or when did you realize you had to take charge?

He turns silent sensing her struggling to explain the sensations of having a constant voice in the back of ones head, his expression that of an apt pupil. He wants to understand, hoping somehow this insight would give him a better comprehension of Trill culture. Though he imagines there is no way one could fully appriciate the strange relations between symbiote and host without experiencing it first hand ( ... )

I don't think there was a defining moment when I sat up and realized "I'm in charge here;" it was more of a slow thing. Realizing that Jadzia's strength wasn't always pushiness, and that I didn't have to listen to Joran's voice. And when it all comes down to it, I'm the host. I'm the one who's running the show. They're just spectators.

She smiles ruefully. Extremely energetic spectators.

Ezri is unable to resist a smirk at his reference to madness at work. Ah, politics. The bane of the working man. I remember walking that line all too well.... It's not for the faint of heart, that's for certain.

I don't think I'd fit in at a Cardassian auditor's meeting, though--I have a noticeable lack of ridges. She indicates the spots, instead.

Ezri raises her eyebrows at the mention of The Hobbit. Actually, now that you mention it, I downloaded the text from one of the Terran libraries a few months back. I haven't gotten a chance to read more than the first few paragraphs, though. ::laughs ruefully:: It's probably buried under several layers ( ... )

He smirks slightly.

Spectators huh? I suppose thats one way of putting it although I don't know happy I'd be having someone or in your case a group of people watching my every move knowing my every thought. It sounds both scary and agitating if you ask me. But then I'm speaking this without experience.

He groans.

The bane of the working man? Feh should be the bane of every man. I don't know how people can make a career out of this. They claim this position is a great honor but between us I think it's more of curse myself.

He laughs at her remarks about standing out with her lack of ridges.

Perhaps not but I'm sure you'd give the best of them a run for their money! Either way I'd pay to see you in action I think you'd make a wonderful debator!

He turns a little sheepish as she speaks of the Hobbit in truth he hasn't had much time to read it himself. Not with the events of the camps or the preparation for the war trials. I actually haven't had too much time myself I was hoping you might have some better luck with it. I think ( ... )
