I saw something on tumblr yesterday that didn't name her, but I worked out who it was from context. I am so sad about this. I knew she'd had health issues recently but from her lj posts, she seemed to be coming into some sort of contentment in her personal life. It's always awful when you hear that (relatively) young people have died, but when they are someone who has been in your life - albeit virtually - for years it is such a strange feeling. Yeah. Very sad news.

I find these people I know from only-online exist for me as remembered words in my head (especially in these days of the tumbleweeds blowing through lj) - so there was this weird lurch in reality finding she had died - especially since I didn't find out for a while. As if my internal sense of this person's reality is not real, if that makes sense? And a feeling of helplessness to go with that. :(:(

Thank you for this. Oh my god, I'm so upset. She was such a hoot, sharp and funny. What a loss.

And yes about the diaspora of fandom. So so sad.
