Thursday was absolutely the best day off I've had this summer, hands down. However, I know that not all of my flist particularly care about The Cab or any of that, so I'll cut my review/day and pics. Not dial-up friendly.
it totally doesn't explain it at all. Umm... basically it's something you put batteries in and when you turn it on you chose a category and a word pops up on the screen. You have to get other people playing to huess the word without saying it, or any variation thereof.
One that I got was 'magic spell' and Singer and Bryan had gone to see Harry Potter so I turned to Bryan and went 'Harry Potter does...' to get the first word out there.
I was at the Foxboro show also. I was right up front near singer. It was effin insane. I felt like the crowd was gonna eat Singer.
That game of catch phrase was out of control. I didn't want to stop David/Marshall from playing to talk to them cause they were doing so well. Are you going to the one tomorrow in Allston?
Also, I love the pic of Singer where like half of his head is in the frame and hands are grapping at him.
I wish. I work 40+ hours a week and I have another concert Friday. If tickets weren't sold out I might have tried to get them.
My little sister took a lot of the pictures. She's going to school fo photography so she was able to make my shitty camera take good pics. I do like that one.
What concert are you going to on friday? Cause I am also going to one.. mtvU sunblock festival with Boys like Girls. I luckly got the day off on sunday and got my shift covered last thursday to go.
I'll post a link over in one of the Cab lj's with a review/pics from the concert.
also I agree.. best night of my summer thus far. but also, too many highschoolers (not that I am that much older, 19, but at least in college).
Not too be creepy, but I think I saw you sitting on the wall before the show started. Were you with two other girls with black/red/silver cab shirts?
yeah, that was my sister and her friend. She made those shirts but of couse forgot about me.
I feel a little weird being at the same concert just because I graduated college two months ago and spent my last semester teaching 16-18 year olds. It kind of messes with my mind a little.
And no, I'm bringing my mom to Nickelback as a birthday present to her.
Aww your pictures are so amazing. That second one of Singer made me giggle as did the majority of the ones of Cash. They're such cuties.
It always makes me smile to hear about other people's awesome experiences at their concerts and meeting them. Thanks so much for sharing. That really put a smile on my face. :)
thanks. Cash always kind of makes funny faces when he's playing. You can tell I didn't take most of the pictures because there are more of other people than their are of Cash. Every one from the last one I went to also included funny faces.
My my my Johnson needs a haircut doesn't he? Hahaha Loving Bryan and his scarf, I love that kid. He is a great fit huh? I miss Ian dearly, but Bryan is a really good replacement.
Sounds like you had a blast! I can't wait until I get to see the boys again, I miss them!!
you don't know me, but I was reading your fics and saw this, and clicked to see the pics. I wanted *so* badly to see them this tour, but they were here(in California) the one weekend *I* was in Vegas, so I missed them. I just had to comment and say, damn, Johnson's hair is GORGEOUS...
and I totally get what you mean about the age thing; I'm 30, and go to shows alone, which gets a little weird, especially with the younger bands like the Cab. (I'm always torn between 'damn they're cute' and 'oh, boys, you need a babysitter! How the HELL do you get 3+ flats in as many days?')
Yeah, I don't really think the age thing would be so bad if I wasn't teaching kids who were these fans age all year. No one who meets me thinks I could possibly be over 20.
What's really strange is suddenly having people in bands who are like, my age or younger. I remember way too easily when everyone was at least 5 or 6 years older.
Also, glad you're reading and clicked over here. I always post concert pics. I think there are more back in March somewhere.
