Do you remember that 5年は死なない。 5年後は知らない (if I spelled that correctly +_+)? He said it like a million times in different interviews in 2008, as I remember, and explained that he had already plans to next 5 years in mind, but didn't know at all what he would be doing then. He says he's a sprinter, so he has to set to himself short distances (before it was 3 years, now 5 years, it seems
( ... )
Oh yes, all his silly puns and their repercussions.... ^^;;;; Hmmm, interesting... I wonder if he already knew about his own starring in Taiga when he made the gravestone... If he did, maybe that's what he meant at the time, because being in a Taiga is really a once-in-a-lifetime big deal for any actor, even more so for someone who is fundamentally a musician like G. Of course, we all know that what he may not have known at the time is his encounter with Ogata-san, which probably turned out to be far more important than being in Taiga itself. ^^
Well, since the live itself was in 2004, and producer of Fuurin kazan said he decided to invite Gackt after seeing Diabolos on TV (I read about it in the interview in N/S eyes on mag, interview parts from which were never scanned, as I know... at least producer's interview ones. But I think he said it in Ryuu no Keshin DVD too), it means at least 2005 already... nope, I don't think he did know ^_~
Wooooow, isn't it amazing how psychic he is sometimes like that?? @_____@ In the Madagascar documentary, he keeps being drawn to one tree, which turns out to be one of the most important ones to the natives there... Also in PB, he seems to really feel the energy radiating from ancient trees... He certainly is an intuitive guy, I love that about him!
My reaction was a combo of "Haha! What?...OMG *panics*......>.< Not again, quit saying that!..." Him saying he was going to retire this year made me go on a spending frenzy because I thought if he retired, his stuff would be harder to get ><...Silly me XD. I remember a blog in which he said he wanted to work with the crew he had for another 10 years. I actually quoted it on my FB XD.
Hahahaha, so practical even while panicked!! XD Atta girl, Tessa!! LOL
I guess the truth may be that he doesn't even know what he's gonna be doing in a few years himself! If he doesn't know, then how could we, right? *sigh*
Isn't it wonderful when my crimson wave isn't sending me on emo frenzies? XD
Very true! I remember the one Domoto Bros. show in which they asked what his future holds, and I believe he said that he couldn't see it because it was too shiny ^_^.
I find the time-frame he gives himself rather familiar. Every year, I have to file an end-of-year work review/performance report, and one of the sections will ask something along the line of "What are your mid-term plans(for the next 3 to 5 years)?"
I think it sounds reasonable(and very sensible) for GACKT to set a mid-term goal for himself, and then take time to review what he has achieved before planning his next step. He grabs opportunities to try out different things as they come along e.g. doing voice-acting, acting in movies, taiga and now a stage play etc. He couldn't have planned all these 10 years in advance. Planning and reviewing every few years ensures that he doesn't let any opportunity or trend slip by. =)
Oh, you had your blood drawn? Isn't that something else? I can't watch it while the blood gushes into the cylinder, or I feel like I'll faint! XD;;;
Yeah, I guess it's good that he reassures us with at least a few more years in advance? LOL If he ever actually tries to retire before the year he promised, we can always use "Hey, you can't break your promise to us" card. :P

Yes, I think it's great that he sets goals like that, too. I think we all should, actually. That keeps us from being too stagnant and jaded, right? ^^
That's another thing about him that I've just learned and love. Oh, he's too much. XD
