*Sigh* (-_-;)

I find the time-frame he gives himself rather familiar. Every year, I have to file an end-of-year work review/performance report, and one of the sections will ask something along the line of "What are your mid-term plans(for the next 3 to 5 years)?"

I think it sounds reasonable(and very sensible) for GACKT to set a mid-term goal for himself, and then take time to review what he has achieved before planning his next step.
He grabs opportunities to try out different things as they come along e.g. doing voice-acting, acting in movies, taiga and now a stage play etc.
He couldn't have planned all these 10 years in advance. Planning and reviewing every few years ensures that he doesn't let any opportunity or trend slip by. =)

See, all the long-time fans like you knew exactly what he was doing, but me, a newbie, Nooooooo. XD

Yes, I think it's great that he sets goals like that, too. I think we all should, actually. That keeps us from being too stagnant and jaded, right? ^^

That's another thing about him that I've just learned and love. Oh, he's too much. XD

But still, I wished he'd slow down a bit and get more sleep!
Not getting enough rest will eventually claim his health (maybe it already did. ;_;)

My boss(aka the Principal of the school) just took a week's worth of medical leave because he couldn't recover from a virus infection. His fever is constantly at 39 degree Celsius (sounds like a certain Mr G).
He's been saying that he can't sleep till 3am for the past couple of years even though he's got to be in school by 7/8am.
That's about 3 to 4 hr of sleep every day.
We believe the constant lack of sleep is the cause of his "collapse". He's younger than G, by the way. (-___-;)

Can you foresee the timebomb G has set for himself? o_O

G has 39ºC fever all the time? Do you mean when he gets a fever, it gets that high? He was saying on Nico Nico (when he had a fever but went there anyway to evaluate the Gacktpoid contestants) that his normal body temperature is very low, so even a temperature that's only slightly high for other people is actually very high for him. His fever was above 38 that time, I believe. =___ ( ... )

Yes, I meant that when he gets a fever, it always hits the high range at 39 degree Celsius & above. (^_^;)>

Sometimes GACKT's logic doesn't make sense to me. (^_-;)
A person's normal body temperature is about 37 degree Celsius.
Any lower than that temperature is a potentially life-threatening condition. So I don't know how he came to the idea that his body temperature could be lower than that!

I partly agree that a person's mental condition plays a great role in determining whether one feels stressed from the lack of sleep. But that's only psychological.
Physically speaking, our body repairs itself ( or rather the cells regeneration the fastest) while we sleep. To deprive it of the sleep time it needs means that the body can't repair itself properly.
I think G's body is already sending out signals that it's not as healthy as it could be. See how he often blogs about having high fevers, and going to work anyway?

Oh, really? But I've heard of people having a body temperature lower than 37, and that's normal to them...
Hmmmmm 9_9

Yeah, you're right. The body does need enough time to repair itself. =/ I guess I just meant that people who always think they don't get enough sleep will also feel very stressed because of it, which affects the sleep-deprived body even more...

You of course are aware of 過労死, right? This was a huge problem in Japan like 20 years ago. Young men with no apparent health conditions would die from overworking and lack of sleep, many of them leaving behind their young families.
I do worry about this happening to G, of course. But I guess I've learned to not be too stressed about it since there's nothing I can do and....its his life and decisions after all. Not that it's wrong for fans to worry about him in any way, of course. (See what he does to us, making us talk about his health at length!! *sigh*)
