Finished Eastern Tide. Since I bought it Saturday afternoon and was done Sunday night, I'm a bit impressed with myself. I'm a fast reader, but I'm usually not that fast.

Juliet E. McKenna isn't half bad as fantasy authors go. There's a lot of mistrust and downright hatred of magic in her books, so she manages to weave in some universal questions ( Read more... )

Finished The Dante Club, and although it took me ages, I adored it. It's just my cup of tea - it's got literature-within-literature, wit, intellect and a neat but not spectacularly inventive whodunnit plot. Lovely.
