I've been a failure at updating recently. I went to see Juno in Minneapolis and it was AWESOME and I am now addicted to the soundtrack. I have seriously not listened to anything else. It is OH SO GOOD. Plus, Juno is coming here next week and I'm dragging my parents and inkstain and her family and anyone else who wants to come (I live in the same place as ( Read more... )

"Theologically bitch-slapped" is a great phrase. I think I will try to use it in place of "You got served" (not that I ever actually say that).

I think an exclamation of "Ohhhh, snap! You got theologically bitch-slapped, beeyatch!" would make all conversations instantly become cooler.
Also: have you noticed how our Macalester cabal makes frequent use of the word "epic"? Is that a product of internet culture that is more subtle than (but as powerful as) cat macro-talk? *ponders*
I want to write a paper on internet culture. Or a book. Admittedly, people have gotten there before me, but I want to anyway. INSIDER'S PERSPECTIVE, YO.

I totally agree. I've noticed myself using 'epic' a lot lately. I think it's definitely an internet thing. So, in short, I agree with everything you just said. Two thumbs up, would read again.
