House
We bought a house. Ya! We got a screaming deal. It is totally handicapped accessible. But it needs some love, nothing huge. And after having a heart attack last December and a saddle pulmonary embolism last April, I'm doing well to get myself up dressed and fed. So all the things I want to do have to be done by proxy. What am I doing?
It occurred to me that I haven't posted in forever. Again. Let's see, the DH and I are living in a 33' fifth wheel full time since November 2011. We have 4 cats with us. My beloved Ameiko died last December, it's hard to lose a companion of 18 years. Somehow we ended up adopting 2 cats-one of whom is 18. I have been working as a travel nurse ( Read more... ) -

Just got back from the doctor. Pathology report is negative, no further treatment needed. Drains come out Monday.

For those not on FB: surgery done and I'm OK. Will go home today with two drains in place, final pathology report on Thursday when I see the doctor. My Dil knitted me some knickers and I prepped a couple camisoles to wear when I want/need bumps. So far, so good.

It's off to the hospital for surgery. My stomach is most unhappy with the idea and has been for several hours. Also, my surgery is not until noon but I have to be there early to have dye injected.
I will be happier when today is over.

surgery
Since not everyone I know is on facebook, I thought I'd better update this. In April I was diagnosed with breast cancer, again. I had DCIS in January 2009 with lumpectomy and radiation. This DCIS again but I am done with this and am having a bilateral mastectomy. I was scheduled for surgery on May 21 but cancelled because the hospital wanted $ ( Read more... ) -

We are in Denver, doing OK and I am working. My foot keeps swelling but it's OK-will see the doctor Monday. We have heat and happy cats and have got to see the granddaughter and take her out. She was having a great time, gramma and grandpa are exhausted. But life is good. Vehicles are an issue and we have to figure some things out with the ( Read more... ) -
Life
Just looked at when I posted last-time for an update.
I put in my notice at work, last night 2 November. Started packing and discarding. When I put in my notice I didn't have a job to go to but we *needed* to go. We planned to move into the fifth wheel and put some stuff in storage. You look at " stuff" differently when you have to pay to store ( Read more... ) -
Work
I work nights and have been working 7 on, 7 off for about a year. Because the powers that be seem to be incapable of putting out the schedule in a timely manner i.e. Two days left on the schedule when the next one finally comes out, I have been doing the schedule.
