Tried twice, still boring

Hmmm so I just sat here for a little bit describing how my stuff last week went okay (even though there seemed like a lot of it) and how I have a lot of stuff coming up this week. And then I bored myself to death so I deleted it all and started over. Ha ( Read more... )

Haha, poor Jen. :D It's so funny how our journals have changed. They used to be so exciting back in the day with the crazy fan meet and college days, theatre, Lena etc. Now its all work and paying bills, lol. :) It's ok, though.

Oh man, I remember getting sucked into the monotony of wedding preparations, from back when I got married in NJ in my early 20's. I don't remember being bothered by the invitations but what drove me CRAZY was I had this idea of making wedding favors for all the place settings for the wedding guests. It was a cute idea- two little tiny plastic champagne glasses with some of those pastel Jordan almonds in a little mesh pouch and a ribbon. It was a great idea, until I realized how long it was going to take to make something like 150 of them by hand. Uuuugh! I hated them so much after a couple weeks of that, lol.

Haha! We haven't figured out what we're doing for favors, yet. But we did help with some wedding prep for friends that did a pretty DIY style wedding (a few years ago) and so we saw firsthand how much work it is to do crafty stuff x100. So we know to keep that in mind... Especially because we are inviting like 250 people (40 or so are kids under the age of 12, if you can believe that) so there is the potential to have like 200 guests! We have big families... Hehe.

Actually though I was starting to assemble the invitations tonight (putting labels on the inner envelopes) and really didn't mind that. It's been the address/name collecting and figuring out how to print stuff that has been kind of exhausting. But I guess that's one way to flesh out your address book for future use, haha. :)
