Scent memory.

I lit some candles tonight, among them one that I'd never used before. The scent reminds me of America for some reason - scent memory is such an incredible thing. The only thing I don't understand is why it makes me think of my time in South Carolina, when I didn't have candles over there. I can't figure it out ( Read more... )

The boy I'd met during one of the tests, and then later met up with in Prague, who was also applying for Fulbright, got the same message - when, in fact, we were both quite brilliant imo. We both were curious who they did invite in the end ( ... )

Who knows, yeah? I agree - I´m always interested in the people who make the short list, just to see how much better are they.
And yeah, sometimes it´s good to narrow the options and concentrate better on what you have, yeah? You definitely should do the work shop. And maybe send some stuff out - zines and e-mags and maybe regular magazines then - even if it´s not published, it´ll be a good exercise for you.

She kinda is; also, she is utterly infatuated with hers. There might have been posts and discussions on this topic. I don´t remember anymore what material she uses but they´re the softest, most comfortable sheets ever!

I didn´t actually read the book - I´m thinking I should lend it from the library (when I get money again and can renew my card) and then see. Nothing wrong with romance, yeah?

And is this totally my fault for making you a Lush convert? If so, I´m most happy and proud ;)

Ummm, will it sound very conceited if I say that I am not sure if they were actually better than me? ;) (Though of course I don't know them. But well, I'm an arrogant bitch, as we've already established ( ... )

I'm sorry about the Fulbright. But. You're right, you can still apply to colleges directly (especially since you already have the TOEFL/GRE done and whatnot). And I wish you nothing but amazing luck at your new job. ♥
